CHRISTMAS DAY OUTFIT IDEAS

Every Christmas I dress up in a sparkly number with the intention to stay like that all day. It never happens! I always change. To be honest, I love wearing a few different outfits on Christmas day. Being a busy mum of three kids means complete comfort is a must, but I do still want the glam factor with the added bonus of comfort. So, "what can we wear?!" Well firstly, choosing the right fabrics is important. Opt for fabrics such as velvet, cashmere, or sheer fabrics that will feel good against your skin. Then choose a style that will complement your body shape and one that you know you will feel comfortable wearing. It could be a wrap-style, or a smock-style top or dress.
Many of us may simply update our wardrobe by buying a new top to wear with an old pair of jeans, trousers or a skirt. It seems like the easiest option when you want something new for Christmas day. Being a curvy hourglass shape I personally find dresses really easy to throw on to float around the house in with my cosy slippers. If you want something different then investing in co-ords is always a good idea as it will certainly give you more outfit options to dress up or down throughout the whole festive season. A one-piece velvet jumpsuit would be another great option to amp up the luxe vibes as this fabric skims beautifully over curves and feels super comfortable to wear.
Below, I have put together some outfit ideas that may inspire your Christmas day outfit. Here is a mix of smart/casual Christmas day looks that you may like.

If you are not hosting the Christmas dinner this year then this is an elegant smart option to wear for the day. This A-line satin skirt will look chic with the not so typical festive jumper and jewelled flats that will keep your feet comfortable.

A wrap top is a great style that will suit most body shapes. Pair it with elasticated wide-leg trousers that give you that comfort around your tummy. This whole look is super stylish and easy to wear.

I love a sequin skirt. There are so many options on how you can wear it. Create a high low mix by adding a smart casual cardigan and chic accessories.
